Gov. Christie is taken to hospital after having difficulty breathing

SOMERVILLE — Gov. Chris Christie was hospitalized this morning after he complained of having trouble breathing, according to the governor's office.

A spokesman, Michael Drewniak, said Christie suffers from asthma, and was taken to Somerset Medical Center in Somerville "out of an abundance of caution."

Drewniak said the governor was "doing fine: and undergoing tests.

At town hall events, Christie often tells audiences that he has asthma. When explaining the difference between the federal government's health care plans and New Jersey's, he describes going to his local pharmacist to refill his inhaler prescription.

7. Looks extremely unhealthy.
While life is a daily torment for the working poor...looks like the governor is being very well taken care of, with that more then generous benefits package the working poor will NEVER see. If it was a working poor person, they would have probably died sitting in the waiting room of the local ER.

4. Christie wants corporations to have the freedom to pollute air even further.
I doubt he recognizes that dirty air is his problem, too.

9. So much for the people on the other thread
Talking about his weight and assuming it had to do with that.

11. It's got a LITTLE to do with it, but not as much as people think
I have talked to the doctor about that. It does put stress on the respiratory system... and that stress can lead to a reaction. Of course the amount it has to do with weight is minuscule... it is far more polen, allergy related... bad air.. time of day... what have you.

Now cigarette smoke will trigger one like that fast.

Now his knees and back... now that is heavily impacted by that weight.

10. Good luck guv... it ain't fun
that shortness of breath that is.

I am sure your doctors, I mean you got them, have mentioned this... your weight can be an issue with asthma as well. Not as much as knees or back but...

Anyway good luck. Would be nice if the child with asthma that is short of breath and has no insurance could just go to the hospital though... without rising the bank.

13. I once could have mustered a fake..."i hope he gets better"
but with his actual rape and assault on people's rights and the clear and present danger he presents to the American people...I really don't give a fuck what happens to that asshole.
