1. I think that was C-Span 3 and it just ended, I think.
Just caught the end of it.

2. I can hardly wait for the vote. Wouldn't it be SO COOL if it didn't
pass the House?

3. Wouldn't it be SO COOL if the markets tanked tomorrow?
Remember what happened when the first TARP bill failed?

If the Senate votes down the House bill, that's expected and (hopefully) moves things along to negotiations. If the HOUSEE votes down the House bill, it reinforces the image that the House Leadership doesn't have control of its own members, and thus may not be able to deliver an agreement to a final settlement bill, spooking the markets.

4. Uh, no, it wouldn't be. But this bill passing in the House won't
prevent that. Reid and the Sen Dems said they will NOT pass it.

Nice leap, though, even though that wasn't remotely my intent.

What would YOU like to see happen?

6. And Reid's Bill won't pass the House...
...doesn't mean you want it to fail. The key point is, BOTH leaders have to be able to deliver votes for a negotiated bill. Anything that reinforces the notion that Boehner won't be able to do so is problematic.

7. They keep saying they do, but the "behind the scenes" folks
think they don't know for sure.

An MSNBC commentator said if the vote doesn't take place (I actually thought it was scheduled at 5pm) or if they "blue screen" (?) that will indicate there's trouble in River City.

8. Again with this Tea Party thing. They called themselves tea BAGGERS. Why let them reframe the debate
just because the moniker doesn't suit them now? THEY did it. WHY DO WE LET THESE PEOPLE MANDATE HOW WE ADDRESS THEM WHEN THIS IS HOW THEY INTRODUCED THEMSELVES.
