Do you think that he can do it?

He keeps blurting out that he's the speaker of the "whole House" all the time.

1. Instead....
New provision in Boehner bill requires BBA to pass both chambers before House would approve 2nd debt ceiling increase http://tpm.ly/nWKiL3

3. That's a non-fuckin'-starter in the Senate
Period, end and over. Even John McCain said that it's loopy to think a BBA will pass anything.

Incredible.

At least now we see what the issue was that caused the Tea Idiots to piss all over Boehner's parade yesterday: as soon as he removed the BBA language, they all went into tantrum mode.

Boehner knows full well that BBA is deader than a doornail in the other Chamber. It's why he took it out in the first place. So, by reinserting it, he's basically admitting that his bill is purely procedural, and he expects it to fail. That's sweet.

The most ridiculous part of all of this is that the Tea Baggers think the vote will at least be effective in hanging a BBA refusal around the Dem Senator's necks in 2012.

7. Yes, they are that stupid.
But how many people did it take to elect them?

2. He will not do that. He's committed to a crumbling path.
He is worthless now.

5. John of Orange is looking a mite moldy around the edges.

He can't get enough votes in the House for a bill the Senate won't accept and that Obama would veto anyhow. He's stuck. Not too long from now we'll see the Orange One sitting alone in a trendy D.C. bar, crying into his Rob Roy. Unfortunately, by that time that weasel Eric Cantor will probably be Speaker. And he's even worse.

6. He can but wont. After that, he would not be the speaker any more.
