John Boehner's drinking problem.
I wonder how exacerbated it's getting with his having to deal with teabaggers and the debt ceiling.

1. I'm sure he's got it under control in that he's been a functioning
alcoholic for years. If this had pushed him over the edge he wouldn't have even been able to show up for the vote. I speak from experience. :7

2. Has this ever been proven or is there evidence? Or is just something DUers like to throw out there?
There's plenty to go after Boehner for other than accusing him of being an alcoholic. My guess that by the law of averages more than a few DUers probably have a drinking problem. I wonder how funny or clever they think all of the Boehner drinking post are?

3. Circumstantial.
He has the verbal mannerisms of someone who is shitfaced, the outward symptoms of chronic alcoholism (He wouldn't be the first drunk I've seen to use sunless tanner to hide cirrhotic yellowing then lie about being tan either; but I mean the state of his skin, his eyes, puffiness and telltale swelling.), chronic alcoholics tend to lack emotional control...more so when detoxing.

He's known in DC to be a heavy drinker socially as well and a bit of a party-boy; enough so that there are rumors it interferes in his marriage slightly as his wife is quiet and withdrawn, dislikes attention or social obligations. She opts to spend much of her time back in OH. That's the DC non-political political gossip.

4. I live in his district.
It's common knowledge here.
