They signed on with the promise of getting paid and that promise should be honored. It's not their fault that you, me, or anybody else doesn't like the wars. I doubt you could find a single person in any branch of government that would countenance this for one second.

If you want to find out how loyal a mercenary army really is, this would be a great way to find out. My prediction is that they will be among the last interest groups to stop receiving checks.
