and the "solution" for it was talked about (to death) but in the end the ones who could have changed it back to a majority 51-49, chickened out & left things as they are.

Now they run to microphones bemoaning the game-playing, but when they had the chance to change it, they passed.

Anytime to minority has to beg the minority to "let" them legislate, not a whole lot of anything will get done.

The polarization we now live with, and the insane gerrymandering has pretty much put down any return to super majorities that used to be the norm, so we better just all get used to the fact that hostage taking is now the way things are done, and all we can expect is more unraveling the vestiges of "the way things were", and an ushering in of more bad governance. (bad for US..great for THEM)

Mega-corps & greedy-bastard rich folks run our government, and will see to it that their representatives always win the day.
