I might be wrong, but it seems to me that when we spent countless hours on DU during
the election of this man, none of us ever expected this! I do not recollect ever seeing anyone who thought this man would even consider agreeing to something like this. Seems like that was why we were so excited and really felt this country was going to turn around. And now, how then can we think this is right?

I have always felt that you fight the enemy that is out to destroy you until you crush them or they crush you.
You don't go to them and say I will give you what you want, just don't hurt me even thought by giving them what they want will hurt you............

Lemme tell you, won't work, but that is who staid home.

Jaysus people really need to understand that partisans, truly declared voters, as in party affiliation in this country ARE BECOMING A MINORITY and they are not the ones who stay home.

3. It's not the hours on DU that got him elected. It's the hours
going door to door and calling people on the phone. DU gives us a place to vent and give each other support. But, it's not what gets people elected.

never for a moment since his election did I think it would be easy for him. he has asked us repeatedly to help and that he cannot do this alone.

It might be that I'm off in my thinking about the limitations that the president has since he doesn't write legislation. It seems the majority of the DU community is content to lay all the problems and blame at his door. We kept our asses home in November and now we are angry that a small group of idiots are controlling the debate and outcomes. Welcome to messy democracy.
