1. For most uninformed voters, "strong and wrong" is better than "weak and right".

10. for the love of all that's indecent and unholy
I would love to believe that a majority of the people on DEMOCRATIC Underground would be against Hitler (you know, the guy that ordered the mass murders of Jews, Gays, Jehovah's witnesses, pretty much anyone that disagreed with him.) I'm pretty sure it was Franklin Fucking Delano Roosevelt that stepped up to slap that dumb bastard down. Hell, the Republicans tried to force him out of office via military coup. The very idea that anyone on this DEMOCRATIC site would think that the Austrian bastard had any good ideas shocks the fuck out of me.

11. Sarcasm is lost on you, isn't it?
Everyone knows that Hitler isn't a natural born citizen.

18. Well, sarcasm or not...
when I opened the thread and saw Hitler's name, my stomach twisted and now I'm sick.

Some things just are not funny.

A friend of the family...an elderly Polish man who spent some time in a concentration camp with his family...would definitely not think this is humorous.

:(

12. KMFDM.
They seem to get megalomania, at least, and accept it. Unlike most of our leaders.

15. The sad truth is, for the survival of a country, strong and wrong is better than weak and right
That's why election systems that force us to choose between two preselected options are bogus.

Because it's perfectly obvious that without some sort of systematic oppression, no one but the terminally stupid would settle for a system that required them to accept one of those two choices.
