KRUGMAN: Sums It Up-"COMPLETE INTELLECTUAL SURRENDER"
July 31, 2011, 9:04 PM
Linguistic Note
Am I the only one to notice that Obama no longer even talks about revenue increases? Instead he says “tax reform”, which could mean lower rates and no revenue.

Complete intellectual surrender.

4. Wait...so his "Corporate Masters" are pitting their candidate against him, but HE is
the one who's doing their bidding?

:wtf:

The conspiracy theories are getting really thick around here.

3. "revenue increases? Instead he says 'tax reform'” Krugman
Edited on Sun Jul-31-11 10:42 PM by ProSense
isn't paying attention.

A balanced deficit deal that includes some new revenues isn't just a Democratic position.

From the fact sheet for the announced deal: "revenue-raising tax reform."

7. Tax Reform: Listen very carefully, the latest meme, --broaden
the tax base and cut Corporate Taxes.

Think about it: The Tax Structure includes all the high
incomers so how do you broaden it:

How many of you have been listening to "half the country
pays no taxes".

When they broaden the base where will they go. Down the
economic scale??

No surprises when they start this debate.

11. Any minute now ...
... I'm expecting one of the Obama defending ostriches to remind us that Obama "has the GOP exactly where he wants them." Of course, then again, maybe he does have them where he wants them: on the winning side.
