Well, I for one think this is FABULOUS!

I mean, really! This is so awesome. First of all, we have protected our President from any ridicule. We all know how important it is to make him be completely devoid of all blame in anything. He's our crystal President. He needs us to shut down any and all blame that comes his way. And it's important that he been seen at arms length from any disasters, as these are the political gold points for his re-election! So this was our masterpiece, our crowning achievement. He actually looks like a puppet-president, but in a real cool way and there is this commission thing, they make ALL the decisions! No muss, no fuss. Even more degrees of separation of our guy so he can work on the big things.

And these big things are BIG! How do we keep Democrats down on the farm after they have seen that gay French city? You know it's kinda like getting Dorothy and the gang to go bucket another witch, AFTER seeing the man behind the curtain. But do not despair, as 2012 is far away, and the republicans are running around like their asses are on fire and their hair is catching. So with this on our side, we can now really put forth the important issues that concern us as Democrats and our beloved President in a glass display case, never to be unsealed in case of emergency.

First that SS and Medicare thing. Of course this clusterfuck will be denied by us when attacked by the Pro-Lefties. Just do the republican thing. Wash, Rinse, Repeat. And when the inevitable happens, just go to the standard, you did not understand him, which is true! They NEVER understood us and HIM!

The cuts to Medicare Providers. This is a win for us. Who in their wildest imagination would think for a moment that a doctor would drop a Medicare patient because of cuts? So it's not cutting a benefit! It's the money to the doctor we are cutting. This is a good point to explain to old people.

These are exciting times for our new agenda as Democrats. The future is bright, and no issue too hideous and grotesquely wrong that we cannot use as fodder for marching to the stagnant middle pool. Americans want moderation. They want a finely tuned MuZAk political world that is predicable and safe, with us looking for ways to make their entitlements simpler, their taxes simpler, their medical entitlements simpler, and what could be simpler than having them always in a state of constant review?

It's a big night for our President, he has attained untouchable/plausable deniability with the bonus of always being a grownup, and we do need that with these left/freak types. Thank GOD Hollywood evens this out as they go wobbly just being in a Tahoe back seat with him...and who would'nt??!!!

Your new Super Democratic Committee pal...

Can I add that with all that noise, OUR trillion dollars bailed-out crooks will justify their new AA or A Ratings on the general uncertainty of this whole mess. It GAVE THEM a GOLDEN opportunity to CHARGE MORE INTERESTS on about anything, which will AFFECT their most vulnerable victims! The bailouts were just pocket change compared to what they have in $tore now...

Oh you said it. Of all of the pernicious talking points and cooing, this is one of the most disgusting.

12. "The cuts to Medicare Providers. This is a win for us.".. if us is HMO corporations...
The quick question to ask is, who benefits (aside from the rich who don't want to pay any reasonable amount of taxes to fund anyone else)?

Pay the doctors less for Medicare services, it reduces the viability of those services for income... which leaves a doctor looking at other services and pay instead. The alternative? HMO patients... but the HMOs routinely lowball doctors also. What's the difference? With the alternate choice of work (& pay) reduced... there's less alternative available for doctors who object to being lowballed by HMOs.

HMOs will be more able to "lower-ball" doctors than they are presently. If they are able, my bet is that they will.

The government will save money on medicare. HMOs will be able to boost profits. (Especially with a newly mandated customer base.)

Doctors will find it harder and harder to pay off skyrocketing student loan burdens. Kind of like teachers facing budget cuts to preserve tax-happiness of the wealthy, while charter schools ask for the same pay from the state to teach while paying teachers less....

Good times. ;) Unless you're the one doing the teaching or the doctoring, rather than an HMO or charter school administrator...
