I've been hearing this touted around. Is there any truth to this? Was it all a scam?

The fact that the idiot Teabaggers held a gun to the government's head to pay the bills we have already incurred a scam? No.

Are you saying defaulting on our bills/loan payments is a scam? No.

Are you saying credit agencies downgrading the US to a AA status is a scam? No.

2. it's a scam in that it's the same monied class that 1) wants to cut social/government spending;

2) bribes the politicians to get what they want;
3) owns the ratings agencies that rated bullshit triple A during the real estate bubble & now downgrade the richest economy in the world;
4) owns the media that feeds us the scare stories;
5) funds the teabaggers;
6) ran up the fucking debt on their wars and tax cuts in the first place.

why are these vampires in charge?
