Our New BFF Grover Norquist Backs The New Debt Deal
So that's good.

Grover Norquist Backs The New Debt Deal
Thomas Lane | August 1, 2011, 6:00AM

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has at least one powerful ally in his latest effort to sell the GOP on a debt deal: tax hater extraordinaire, Grover Norquist.

Shortly after President Obama took to the air and urged both houses of congress to pass the newly thrashed-out debt deal, Norquist tweeted: "Real spending cuts. No tax hike. Gang of Six said it could not be done. 1982, 1990 are now bad memories we learned from. Onward."

18. "And he said
the White House was not worried by lawmakers' criticisms of the pact."

Yep, just unworried enough not to invoke the 14th.

4. "Onward!" What can the future of 'govt by revolving debt-ceiling crisis' withhold from him now?
The ugly little troll is singing "Tomorrow Belongs To Me" with good reason today. He'll sing it tomorrow, too. And the next day.

The hostage, America, will never be free.

5. Grover is trying to get the Tea Party to come along, nothing more.
The WSJ is doing the same.

The GOP is trying to get its Frankenstein monster under control.

15. I can't wrap my head around
the thought process of people like Grover. I mean, what happened to this guy that would cause such motivation towards suffering?

It must be draining!

'So that's good."? His endorsement is coverage for any teabaggers who choose to vote for the deal.

Grover Norquist is a tool of the money interests behind this sham crisis. He is signaling House Republicans,
we won; vote yes already. How is that good?

We won't be able to pay for a 4th of July parade next year without his approval.

16. Grover is trying to get the Tea Party to come along, nothing more.
The GOP created the Tea Party to increase the turn out of their crazy base. Grover helped create the tea party, and now, he's trying to help train the Tea Party to be good little corporatists.

The WSJ is doing the same thing.
