Super Congress: Echoes of Tyranny Rising
“The accumulation of all powers, legislative, executive, and judiciary, in the same hands, whether of one, a few, or many… may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny.”

2. Super Congress: Just another name for "Joint Committee"

Anything worked out still have to be voted on by the full Congress. Everyone still has their veto rights.

9. Because people are easier to manipulate if they are scared of something?

Maybe we should have color-coded Super Congress alerts?

5. This one action is the worst which the president has enacted!
One day it will come back and bite our democracy in the ass when it falls into the wrong hands. It basically keeps other duly-elected parties from having any say in the democratic process.

8. The citizens do not get a vote in who is in the Super Congress ...
how can this be legal?

Could this end up being a case for the Supreme Court?

10. I think this stinks to high heaven. But the Congress can make their own rules by
which to operate. However, these rules may only be changed at the beginning of the current Congress. That time has long passed, so I don't see how this could pass muster.
