I nominate Bernie Sanders for the so-called Super Committee....
And then Sherrod Brown, Patty Murray, Al Franken, Kirsten Gillibrand, Tom Harkin....

Get so young blood and a few populists on this panel instead of the old coots and closet republicans...

2. I think they are assigning Dems and Repubs only
Bernie, gawd love him, is an Independent. Don't think he qualifies.

The bill doesn't specify Dem or Repub.

21. That's lovely, but do you think Bernie will be selected?
I love Bernie Sanders to death, but imho his firebrand style of progressivism will preclude his being tapped for the duty.

it's pretty clear who we're dealing with. Even Durbin has proven a traitor...who can we trust?

No Democrat supports that stupid bullshit.

I like Whitehouse, Warner, Schumer, Gillibrand, and many others - but they don't Squigg out in Neverland like Bernie does.

42. I would feel a lot better if Gillibrand were on there
She is my senator and I feel very satasfied with the job she has done. I am proud of her and she is one of the few in government I still have faith in. We see almost every day in our paper how she is actually out working to protect the disabled vets and she stands up for the Big 3 as well.

You Go Girl! :kick: I would also support Bernie being on there!
