Once again the irritating, yet necessary, 4 paragraph rule does not do this justice. READ IT!!

1) Unemployment is a more urgent problem than debt.

The U.S. can borrow money for 10 years at less than 3%. It can borrow money for two years at less than one-half a percent. Yes, the burden of debt is worrying. Yet lenders seem undaunted by those worries.

Meanwhile, more than 14 million Americans are out of work, more than 6 million for longer than six months. The United States has not seen so many people out of work for so long since the 1930s.

2) The deficit is a symptom of America's economic problems, not a cause...

9. And gave away hundreds of Billions to the RICH
to get this temporary crumb for a relatively few Americans,
and BROKE a MAJOR Campaign Promise to boot.
I hope he got a bag of Magic Beans too.

10. no but Obama hasn't mentioned the 99'ers or anyone else for a
while but he DID KEEP THE TAX BREAKS FOR ZILLIONAIRES!!! YIPPEE HOORAY! He's got his priorities. Frum hectoring the idiots is okay by me. Conyers saying OBAMA brought up cutting ss and Medicare isn't.

6. since like 80% voters believe taxes on rich should be raised adn leave SS and medicare alone
i would think that is a duh and all repugs did was piss off their own, .... which says something about duers being pissed off at our own, though it was the repugs

8. Good column. Frum sounds more like a moderate Democrat than a conservative, to me.
But then again, it's all relative to the extreme right wing of today. By traditional standards, he IS conservative.
