Another loss for the American people
With the Great Debt Ceiling Deal having just passed the House, we can chalk up another bipartisan blow handed out to the American people. This joins those other bipartisan hits we've taken, like the tax cuts for the rich, the lack of a real stimulus, the lack of a public option, etc. etc.

And yes, it is a bipartisan attack on the American people, sad to say. Which simply proves my point, two parties, same corporate masters.

6. Yep, and I will never again vote for anyone who isn't far radical left or socialist
and YOU shouldn't, either. I'm done with this "nation", as we now know it. It is fat, ignorant, mean, and brutish. Fuck america. I'm officially "off the boat".

7. I have to agree. While it's not the worst we could have..
gotten, it's close. But I want to point out something we can agree on: it's the Repukes who are the originators of the trouble. I'd like to see more bashing of them.

10. When you started at 4:1 on the "bargain" I guess we should've expected infinity:0 at the end
safety net cuts vs. revenue increases, I mean.

Boner was on CBS predicting that the "supercongress" panel will not recommend revenue increases. I figure that rules for that panel *are* probably stacked.

He also said he got "98%" of what he wanted. I guess he didn't get his ring kissed by Biden.

I turned the news off then. I really didn't need to hear a lot more at this point.
