1. That's OK. They can just sell them to foreign countries for the raw materials.
Because that is how we do it in bipartisan America.

4. That list in CA is really devastating, just awful
So many amazing parks, especially in the far northern redwood counties.

10. Most of those parks are in Northern California. Some I suspect are on the list
because they are in wealthier more environmentally active communities and the state wants "private - public" management to take over. I've been to most of those parks and raised my daughter in some.

It's a cryin' shame. Russian Gulch is beautiful! Austen Creek, Malakoff Diggins, South Yuba, Samual P. Taylor, Tomales Bay...

5. ...and when the parks are not available for use by the people who own them....
....It will be an easy sell to put those beautiful lands into the clutches of private business like Realtors, Developers, Golf Resorts , very exclusive gated communities.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This land is your land, this land is my land
From California, to the New York Island
From the redwood forest, to the gulf stream waters
This land was made for you and me.
As I was walking a ribbon of highway
I saw above me an endless skyway
I saw below me a golden valley
This land was made for you and me
I've roamed and rambled and I've followed my footsteps
To the sparkling sands of her diamond deserts
And all around me a voice was sounding
This land was made for you and me
Woody
In the squares of the city - In the shadow of the steeple
Near the relief office - I see my people
And some are grumblin' and some are wonderin'
If this land's still made for you and me.
7. NM state parks are only closed because of extreme drought
Recent rainfall has been inadequate but enough to reopen a few of them.
If you're planning a camping trip here, better call ahead and find out if the grounds are open.
8. Very sad to see Limekiln and Palomar Mountain on the list. Salton Sea, however... no big loss.
Salton Sea was a major disappointment: dirty, smelly, lined with a ring of icky foam, dead fish here and there... what an awful place.
