A friend shared this link on my Facebook wall. Pretty much says it all as far as I am concerned.

4. I'm done getting into it with people with whom I disagree -
we will never change each others' minds, so just be happy in your conviction that you're right. You don't need to have everyone agree with you, you know. Or PROVE you're right and THEY'RE wrong.

9. Well, the teabaggers are up in arms about.it.
They didn't want the debt ceiling raised one cent. They also wanted Congress to not just vote on a BBA but to pass it too.

It's been an interesting evening spent reading about how they are going to primary out the RINOS and turncoat freshmen that they had supported in 2010. And what I find especially interesting is that their wrath isn't directed at President Obama and other Dems but at the Republicans who voted for the debt ceiling increase bill.

12. But you're only considering the viewpoints of the extreme.
Some on the left wanted a clean debt increase bill. The teabaggers on the right wanted no increase at all. But the options weren't just limited to those two choices.

14. The "clean bill" was NOT an extreme position
It was about as moderate and mainstream as you can get,

16. It was extreme in the sense that...
it had no chance of being passed in the House. It wasn't based on current political reality.

25. Yes but conditions change.
In the 20's, the view that the govt. could run deficits and impose high tax rates was considered to be an extreme view. By the mid-30's, that view became mainstream.

24. No, once again the upper 2% and corporations won and the
people lost. This entire 'crisis' makes more sense if you look at it through the prism of class warfare rather than Dem/GOP conflict.
