and this is what they have reduced themselves to. And the people (largely) have voted for this...except for the cheating that goes on, probably more often than we think.

Are they going to lose their jobs, health benefits, retirements, etc.? All they're going to lose is power and glory. Most people don't have that and manage to survive.
