Open Letter to Rep Jim Himes,D, 4th Dist CT
I think Bill Clinton did the best job of converting a looming deficit/national debt into a surplus. It should serve as our model.

I think the Bushy Cheney tax cuts brought us into the national debt we have now, and serve as a model of what NOT TO DO, even though Cheney famously stated "Reagan proved deficits don't matter."

YOU once cited me to a "Moody's non-partisan report" that raising taxes on the rich would hurt job growth. Hell, if that were true, then why after over 10 yrs of these tax cuts, are we where we are now? Plus if you want to believe Moody's, I've got some subprime securitized mortgage derivatives I would love to sell you. Did it ever oc-
cur to you that these rating agencies are simply the 'bots' of Big Corporate Greed Money Billionaire Bosses?

I have a lot more respect for those in elected public service who state their mind, their conscience and their best belief of what's the right thing to do, than some professional politician who is only looking to line their pockets with bribes/contributions to stay in office.

I'm thinking especially of a fimily from my home state of RI, Korean War Veteran USMC Capt. John Chaffe, who was voted out of the RI Governor's office because he said it would be necessary to raise taxes, and went on to become a distinguished statesman member of the US Senate {even though he was Republican} and now his son who was voted out of the US Senate to become the Governor of RI. All of this raises the question, which is more important? Getting re-elected to the most thoroughly discredited US Congress in my memory, or doing the right thing?
