What would the economy be like if the consumer was sitting on
all that capital instead of corporations and the ultra wealthy?
It would be booming! Demand would be insatiable. Corporations wouldn't have time to worry about uncertainty
because if the consumer had the certainty of a job and a stable income they would be vigorously participating in the economy.
Demand is the engine of the economy, wealth is the fuel. The economy comes to a standstill when fuel is being hoarded and sitting in storage tanks.

2. .
 Time for a change on the user name though, if only the mods would grant an amnesty period.

4. And what would happen next?
All that money would trickle back towards the super wealthy until they once more had it all.

The whole point of the market is to make it possible for the wealthy to get all the money. What do they care if everything goes to hell once they've got it all?

7. It would be the same
If we were actually sitting on it.

Now, if we were circulating it the economy would be possibly too hot.

8. There's more of us...
so the amount per person would be smaller and we'd be more likely to spend it.
