There's bad neighbors, and then there's BAD NEIGHBORS
When neighbours complained to the local council that he had illegally removed trees from his property, David Muscat left them in no doubt what he thinks of them.

The 47-year-old constructed a giant middle finger to flip the bird and placed it on his front lawn for all to see.

Unsurprisingly, Muscat who lives in Melbourne, Australia, is viewed as the 'neighbour from hell'.

1. that's too bad
I don't blame the guy for being annoyed about the trees, even though I think trees should be protected. It is not a good feeling (for most people) to have the town mandating what can or can't be done with property. But this is crude and it makes for unpleasant viewing for everyone in the neighborhood, which can't help but generate negative feelings.

Who would want to live in that kind of atmosphere?

3. LOL, I think you're right. One finger is up and down at the same time.
I hadn't noticed that. Welcome to DU :)

7. I've had neighbors I would've loved to have done that to.
Still there is a house about a half mile from me that is painted lime green and red. They have a wrought iron fence with spikes on it and each spike has a purple ribbon tied in a bow on it. They may have a very legitimate gripe with their neigbors but IMO they're the ones that look like IDIOTS. :yoiks:
