Let us overtake with critical mass

Let us rule the Republic of California!

Let us get off this dim ship...

23. Thank you but I am doing fine
You have no idea the difference 2008 made around here. I am not at all kidding when I say that before 2008, people around here were afraid to admit they were Democrats. I live in the 13th congressional district in Texas - we literally share the position (with Alabama's 6th) of the most Republican voting district in the nation.

When I went to caucus on primary night in 2008, the place was so packed with Democrats, they were lined up out in the street. The poor Republicans kept peeking out of their little meeting asking "Does anybody want to come meet with us?" We all laughed and laughed.

Obama didn't win Texas and he sure as hell didn't win my voting district but he woke a beast and that beast will eventually take over the state. Maybe not this election but eventually. Then you will all love Texas and our winner-take-all 34 electoral votes.

28. Ann Richards, Jim Hightower, Molly Ivins - we should ALREADY love Texas!
Look, I may bash the Confederacy and the Republic of Texas, but lately Texas has given us some National Gems

And if the America I knew comes back, then I am all for it!

If Texas becomes a democratic state it completely changes the dynamics of the country. With Texas, New York, and California all democratic, we can control the politics of the entire country. Atleast as far as presidential elections go.

14. I'm scared to move to a coast.
I mean, I've seen a lot of movies, and it's no wonder LA County is broke. You've had to rebuild the city after alien invasions, one man demolition squads, and corrupt crime organizations masquerading as cops (or is that the other way around) what, eighty times or so now? :P

I'd love to see Cali one day. I doubt I ever will...but you can have a spiritual highfive from the heart of flyover country.

33. Lake Tahoe is absolutely beautiful
I don't care what happens, if we could all see Tahoe in all it's glory - Summer and Winter - we would all fight like hell to preserve it

It used to be 99.999% pure (the critical "five nines") but then MTBE happened and changed that :(

If you ever visit California, please go see Tahoe. It's worth it.
