2. My Maurice Sendak plush toy is 20 years old

and didn't come from borders. It, along with a bunch of others, was picked up at various school library conferences, and lived in my school library, and then in my classroom, and then in my grandson's room until he outgrew it. Now it's on a book shelf in MY room.

I certainly, though, support independent book stores over big boxes.
