S&P is the Faux Snooze of the ratings houses
It's really obvious what they are up to -- make President Obama look bad.
If this country's credit was really as bad as they say it is, all of the ratings houses would have reduced the credit rating of the United States.

When President Obama addresses this situation in his press conference later this morning, take into account just how hard the GOP has fought against anything he has tried to do for the last 2½ years to solve all of the problems that George Bush *cough cough* left for this country to deal with when he left office in January of 2009.

That's really all I wanted to say.

1. "We have CHANGED our assumption on this BECAUSE the majority of REPUBLICANS...
...in Congress continue to resist any measure that would raise revenues, a position we believe Congress reinforced by passing the act."

3. I agree. Let's talk turkey. This is part of a bloodless coup attempt on Obama
and it's just the beginning.

4. All of the firms will downgrade us within a year
Moody's already released a statement:
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/g/a/2011/07/13/bloomberg1376-LOANEE0UQVI901-753NH72S2QJTJ7CQIS4AN9CA97.DTL

And in fact Moody's warned about the two-year outlook back in December:
http://thehill.com/blogs/on-the-money/budget/133441-moodys-says-tax-cut-deal-risks-us-credit-rating

Don't think it's just S&P, because it isn't. Notice that in the second link the Moody's analyst specifically brought up extending the tax cuts through 2012, as our president is now proposing.

DU can collectively talk itself in circles, but it will change not one thing about what is going to happen and it will only hurt the lawmakers who have to deal with very bad circumstances.

6. Obama is not proposing to extend the Bush Tax Cuts.
I don't even know why you would bother saying that.

7. The only people happy about this are the assklowns at Faux Snooze.
Huckabee repeatedly said that the "Tea Party" has been vindicated by the downgrade.

What planet is he living on??
