93% was Bush's.

1. where's the chart that indicated that discretionary spending is flat (no increase)

under Obama? That increases have come from defense and social safety nets (needed more than ever during recession)?

Was on DU a few weeks ago....

Massive spike in spending with hefty drop in revenue under Obama. The extra added deficit for his first two years is around $3.5 trillion. 3.5 divided by 14 is about 25%. So 25% of the current deficit was accrued in just Obama's first two years.

Our party blew it. The storm is coming.

I'm going to counter GOP talking points with arguments I can actually win.

Any Deficit we currently have is 100% on Obama as he is the current President. That doesn't mean it is wrong.. Deficits in this economic circumstance are completely understandable and in fact desirable. There is almost zero interest on our borrowing and because our Revenues, being at their lowest point in more than a half a century, just are not enough to take care of business. We need to increase our Revenues, first and foremost....Then cut about fifty percent off of Defense Spending....And then spend money for our infrastructure and our country's well being for a change...
