As we know, the President does not like to blame anyone. He wants to fix the problems. In a bi-partisan way. To his way of thinking, all Americans will do what is best for the country in the end. We all love this country.

Also, as we know, Republicans never take the blame for anything. George W Bush's debt and deficits? All Obama's fault. The wars and their cost? All Obama's fault. The debt ceiling deal? All Obama's fault.

It is nigh time that the President will have no choice but to fight back, contrary to every fiber in his being. If he does not, they will grind him under with their boots.

We can defend him and tell the truth about what has happened and who was ready to let this country default but, in the end, the President must defend himself.

Somebody has to take the blame. Who will it be? Who will the people believe? Much depends upon it.

1. If it gets really bad before 2012, people, having a 15-minute attention span, will blame Obama.
Partly correctly. But there isn't a part vote, is there.

2. This is what I've been yammering about endlessly....
I'm tired of having conversations with people trying to tell them just how psychotic and dangerous the Republicans are for America, only to be told "Well even president Obama agrees that they love their country as much as anyone else and that it's really just different approaches as to how to get to a common goal."

I'm tired of trying to tell people that the Republicans have been taken over by their extreme right while there is no such thing as an "extreme left" influence in the Democratic party only to be asked "Well then why does President Obama, a Democrat keep pointing out how liberals in his party need to get beyond their rigid, outdated ideology?"

I'm sick of trying to convince people that right now is not the time to be talking about the debt and that worrying about austerity in a time of economic crisis actually makes the economy worse only to be told "Well, your president disagrees with you. He says fixing the deficit will help the situation and that it's time for belt tightening and not for more spending and throwing money at the problems. Hell, he even decided to put together a committee to look at how to fix the deficit."

I'm tired of trying to tell people that Social Security is not in crisis and doesn't contribute to the deficit only to have to hear "Well your party keeps mentioning entitlements as being a problem as much as the other side does. Harry Reid said it, Nancy Pelosi has said it, President Obama has said it."

I'm tired of being told (by people on here and by our politicians) that it's up to us to do some of the hard work and spread the message and gain support for the Democrats and Democratic ideas, only to have the people I'm trying to convince throw back in my face the very words and actions of those same politicians which contradict what they supposedly want us to say.

I'm done with it.
