As we head towards another recession...
will there be any leadership willing to step up and propose real reforms and solutions to our economy?

We need Glass-Steagall brought back and other reforms to keep Wall Street at bay and to protect the Middle Class.

We need a New Deal 2.0, bring back the Works Progress Administration. There's work to be done in infrastructure. $2.2 trillion over 5 years needed actually by the American Society of Civil Engineers(and that's really just to get up to par).

We need help in areas such as health care, clean energy, and education.

And to lower debt, repeal the Bush tax cuts for all brackets, close tax loopholes on corporations, raise the top marginal tax to 70%, end the wars/cut defense spending, legalize and tax drugs, and enact single-payer health care for all in the form of Medicare.

Seriously, that's all. It's not rocket science. But the only leaders I see that would do this are Bernie Sanders and Dennis Kucinich.

7. Yep, IMO the admin. is using old tricks from the 20th century hoping
they will work in the 21st century combined with voodoo trickle down economics.

I would rather see him do something bold and trip than this business as usual approach. The paradigm is broken for the 21st century.

3. You're right, it's not rocket science. All we have to do is look back into our history for solutions
Raise taxes on the wealthy and create a HUGE jobs program rebuilding America from the ground up. End the wars and spend money making America prosperous once again. Shows these fucking corps that we don't need them to make America thrive, we can come together as a society for the betterment of our future.

4. The only way these things will change is if they feel threatened
by the possibility of civil unrest. Then the tune will change pretty fast.

9. We?
"to protect the American Middle class"?

So, no liberation for the working class from the system, they must remain in servitude to protect the American Middle Class and the system that enables the American Middle Class?

In global terms, the so called American Middle Class is of course the top 1% or less of the pyramid fraud of this financial and consumerist system.

Your sense of "we" to be saved seems very exclusive, Can you tell me why - and how - a much more inclusive "we", like We the Life on Earth, should protect the American Middle Class?
