Investors flee stocks for the refuge of US debt
And yet people will argue S&P, irreproachable prognosticator, the responsible rater whose favor could never be bought, has passed a fair sentence, and all the signs of investors fearing the future of US growth and sheltering in US debt will be seen as evidence we have to -really- get serious about austerity. Because what else could make people pessimistic about growth and bullish on debt but a fear of profligate government spending and investment?
