Not! Just a few words in all these months could have helped, but you were too busy arguing with tea baggers and appointing more RW only viewpoint people on your staff.

2. You are so wrong.
If you really wanted the Democratic party to win back these seats then you should be happy the President stayed out of them. Had Obama said a word, we would have lost them by a large margin.

3. He had months to speak about how important teachers and firefighters are,
But when you are addicted to masterdebation, it's hard to let go.

His base was under attack and he did nothing.

6. NO, Obama cannot influence the local election. Thats what THIS IS ABOUT.
THANK GOD that Obama stayed quite. If he said anything, this would have become an ideological battle.

Now the battle is clear, this is about the Middle Class not either party!

Talk nationally, react locally.

Keep repeating that tired line that isn't true. It helps the GOP.

16. You know that makes no sense. You are saying that pres Obama is in such disfavor with
fellow Democrats, that his support would have turned them off. I think it would have galvanized them into more action. How can you have a leader that is most effective when he hides?

,,,,really? The only chance WI had was to make this a labor issue, not a partisan one.

13. You're welcome
House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has charged President Obama with siding with poor and middle class workers in using Organizing for America, Obama’s political campaign organization to “demagogue” the efforts of Republican Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker who has threatened martial law to bust unions and the collective bargaining rights of public employees.

“President Obama has acknowledged the challenges we face, but – thus far – he has done nothing to offer solutions,” Boehner said in a statement. “Now, worse, his political organization is colluding with special-interest allies across the country to demagogue reform-minded governors who are making the tough choices that the President is avoiding.”
http://www.popdecay.com/2011/02/19/gop-goes-after-ofa-for-supporting-wi-workers-rights/8338

The Democratic National Committee's Organizing for America arm -- the remnant of the 2008 Obama campaign -- is playing an active role in organizing protests against Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker's attempt to strip most public employees of collective bargaining rights.

OfA, as the campaign group is known, has been criticized at times for staying out of local issues like same-sex marriage, but it's riding to the aide of the public sector unions who hoping to persuade some Republican legislators to oppose Walker's plan. And while Obama may have his difference with teachers unions, OfA's engagement with the fight -- and Obama's own clear stance against Walker -- mean that he's remaining loyal to key Democratic Party allies at what is, for them, a very dangerous moment.

21. Indeed...
Look, I'm a harsh critic of Obama, repeatedly calling for him to take the LBJ path and not run again...but some criticisms of the guy just aren't valid.

If they're going to criticize Obama, the least they could do it criticize him for the things he hasn't done or the things he has done; not criticize him for not doing things he actually did...like support the Dem. candidates in the WI recalls the best way he could, by lending the muscle of his organizing/PR/GOTV machine and the national party.

What do they want? Him to show up and stump in local elections? I'm not sure that would be productive and it wouldn't look good for the local candidates.
