Waukesha County Tampering
MADISON-Following is the statement of Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate following evidence of election tampering in the 8th State Senate District race.

"The race to determine control of the Wisconsin Senate has fallen in the hands of the Waukesha County clerk, who has already distinguished herself as incompetent, if not worse. She is once more tampering with the results of a consequential election and in the next hours we will determine our next course of action. For now, Wisconsin should know that a dark cloud hangs over these important results."

7. yeah, it's not fucking okay this time - you can't keep doing this & frankly, HOLDER has to step in
because if he doesn't, I really will find the admin. highly questionable, instead of just questionable. They MUST defend the vote of the people, and this Kathy Nickolaus is clearly up to fraud.

15. Don't they have to be invited in? This isn't a federal election, it's a state one.
Shouldn't the states' attorney general be doing any investigation? Given who the governor is, that's not too good....

The state Democratic Party should be screaming bloody murder, and I believe they are.

I don't think Holder can just stroll in there without some sort of invite. I might be wrong about that, but I don't think I am.

19. No. Tampering with votes at any election level is a federal offense.
If this goes off and Holder does not at least send experts to investigate, I call on President Obama to ask for Holder's resignation. This is bullshit if Nicholas is doing stuff that is either illegal or incompetent and she gets away with it, again.

22. Maybe, but someone on the ground first has to holler "J'accuse!"
Holder can't just pick up and say "From Washington DC, absent ANY formal complaint, I am going to stick my nose in the business of a state." That's just not going to happen because it's overreaching. Elections are run by states, not the feds.

You can't call on Obama to do anything. This is a state matter, again.

Would you like it if George Bush was the President and he started making noise about a Democratic state legislative victory?

If someone thinks a crime has been committed, they've gotta jump through the hoops. The first stop would probably be some kind of formal complaint to either the Secretary of State of WI or the State Atty. General....and then if they don't get any happiness, perhaps the federal prosecutor for the appropriate district, appointed by DOJ. But they've got to start out doing it within the structure of the agency that ran the election, and that agency is the state of WI.

21. Voting is not enough
Anyone who believes that the electoral process is the sole path to freedom and democracy will inevitably lose both freedom and democracy. If you truly love America, folks, voting is not enough.
It's time to start a grassroots VINE movement in America (Voting Is Not Enough). We must get the rest of our citizens to understand that ownership of democracy involves a lot more than filling out a ballot every once in a while. It will always be easy to rig the game so long as most people believe that its a game. Our freedom is not a game.

25. Why no oversight this election?
Since there have been past problems why wasn't there a Dem/GOP team monitoring the situation. This is the problem: A problem is identified and then it's business as usual. Someone should have been there to make sure that everything went smoothly this time. Instead, nothing is changed and they just sit there and say, "Oops." Our leaders are not very professional.

DPW had all numbers in all precincts before they even went to the county. If there was evidence of fraud, they would have A) SAID fraud and B) persued it.
