7. What, preytell, "happened" last night?
Edited on Wed Aug-10-11 11:02 AM by PeaceNikki
Here, I will tell you...

We had well-trained, dedictaed Democrats at every poll watching every move from open til close. We watched them count and bag the ballots and we reported the numbers and findings to a boiler room in real time. The DPW had the numbers before the county did. If there were any discrepencies, they would have persued.

So... in a nutshell - nothing "happened". We lost. It sucks but we pick up the pieces and keep fighting like hell.

4. I feel like I've been had
I feel like I've been had. I should have known better, but I didn't look at these races as closely as I should have. Instead, I trusted our usual progressive media friends to tell us the truth.

They didn't tell us the truth.

They could have told us that all these districts were sweetheart Republican Districts with very little chance for Democratic challengers. They knew. They've known for months.

Instead, they chose to cover this story like it was going to be a triumphant route.

Our Progressive bloggers, columnists and talk show hosts lied to us as badly as Fox News lies to their viewers, and in the same ways. They played us for patsies.

I am furious at them and ashamed of myself.

9. I don't know why ...
it is so hard to understand what I wrote.

I wrote that the progressive commentators, websites and talk show hosts we all follow, all played us for chumps.

I don't like being talked down to. I REALLY don't like being lied to. I still don't. I still am furious over it.

I never said Progressives didn't gain ground in Wisconsin.

The other reply in this thread was profoundly childish and shallow. Here's a free clue, jwrr: It take more than fangirls to win elections.

However; thanks to you for posting a sensible reply. I don't quite agree with you because you present only one side of the story.

The other side is also important: We didn't win the Senate, and never were going to. By trying to win all five races, we drained resources that we will actually need more in a few months, to pursue a much more complete victory; recalling even more Senators, Assembly members -- and a Republican Governor starting in January.

In the meantime, Walker is still free to fuck over Wisconsin. That is a loss; not a victory.
