England riots: YouTube mugging victim 'recovering'
A Malaysian student who was filmed being mugged after rioters attacked him in London is recovering in hospital.

The attack in Barking on Mohd Asyraf Haziq, 20, on Monday night, made headlines after it was put on YouTube.

Dzuhair Hanafiah, chairman of the London UMNO Club, an organisation which takes care of Malaysian people in the capital, said Mr Haziq was "in good spirits".

He said he was due to have surgery on his jaw at the Royal London Hospital.

Mr Hanafiah, who visited the accountancy student in hospital on Tuesday night, said Mr Haziq had been on his bicycle on his way to a friend's house when he was attacked by a group of youths.

Bleeding

"They wanted his bicycle - one of them took it away. Asyraf said he was no more than 12 years old. Another person took his mobile phone. Then someone punched or knocked him with an object, he can't remember what, but when he regained consciousness he was bleeding," he told the BBC.

Mr Hanafiah said the friend who was with Mr Haziq, who was also on a bicycle, managed to escape.

2. Thanks for repeating the wilding meme. No rebellion, just rioting & victimization.
Nice to know somebody can always be counted upon to reinforce the official narrative.

I'm quite sure many of us saw the video. Just thought I'd let you know we notice these things.

3. Where's your video of the peacefull chants and banners...what are they asking for?
Huh?

Did the 12 year old not have any options for public school?

Is that why the poor kid is on the streets?

6. That was last November. The peaceful mass rallies were ignored, the result is rage
and aggression borne of frustration with the failure of the ruling elites to accommodate and respond in a constructive manner.

What did you expect to happen? And, by the way, muggings happen on military bases, too.

8. So, what lesson are we supposed to take away from this?
That mass uprisings are just the result of bad, violent people's greed and desire for destruction and looting?

Listening to that boob on the Beeb lecturing the old man from the West Indies, I would say it's the Establishment that needs to have its own head surgically extracted.

able to convince us of your story.

du is working hard to justify this violence, destruction, vandalism. not all agree with justification for criminal behavior. and has nothing to do with "meme", but our own perception.

of why masses of people explode.

To them, insurrection is pathology, and poverty is a crime to be punished. That outlook can be hazardous to society.

10. then there are those that see the mob rule mentality of destruction, looting, crimes
for what they are and it has nothing to do with the rich, or the powerful, but all to do with mob mentality.

11. "Mob mentality" can't be measured, it's an inaccurate descriptor, and offers no
prescription for fixing things. It's a variation of insurgency as pathology theory, which is neither scientific, humane nor effective.

"Mob rule mentality" is just elite fear spooking itself.

13. mob mentality is absolutely scientific. firstly.
and people defending these young peoples behavior have to inevitably ignore the reality of what is happening in order to justify the behaviors.

it is what it is.
