1. The goal of all of this appears to be clear. The poor, the old, the weak, the infirm will suffer

some more while the wealthy will make out like bandits. As it ever was......American exceptionalism, in the true and good sense, is winding down.

I suspect the Democrats in the house will act appropriately to counter it

Funny though, on Bloomberg Al Hunt was criticizing Reid's choices as too partisan, and they should have risen above the fray.

I suspect it is a no win situation no matter what the Democrats do

We will see what happens

If they cannot come to an agreement, or if Congress doesn't approve it, then defense starts getting cut first, and Medicare provider could only be cut up to a maximum of 2%

There will be no cuts In Defense.baucus will go with Republicans.Superocngress will recommand cuts In Domestic Programs like
Social Security,Medicare,and Medicaid.Blue Dogs and Centrest Democrats will vote with Republicans In Congress for It.Obama
unfortuntly will probally sign it calling It a bipartisan Comprosie again giving Republicans what they want.

Reid may have helped Republicans keep the House and retake the Senate In 2012.And also help Republicans against Obama.

Reid Is a disaster.Hopefully after 2012 some democrat will challenge him for the leadership(Most likely for Minority Leader)
