3 'dangerous' fugitive siblings in custody

COLORADO SPRINGS - Three siblings on the run from the law are now in custody south of Pueblo, according to a tweet from the Colorado State Patrol.

The tweet says the Dougherty siblings were taken into custody after a high-speed chase that ended in a crash Wednesday morning.

Sheriff Kurt Taylor says the more than 20-mile chase that ended on Interstate 25 near Walsenburg. Taylor says speeds were over 100 mph at times, and shots were fired.
Taylor says no injuries have been reported at this time.

Colorado Springs Sgt. Steven Noblitt said on Tuesday 21-year-old Ryan Edward Dougherty, 26-year-old Dylan Dougherty Stanley and 29-year-old Lee Grace Dougherty were possibly spotted in a small white vehicle near with the stolen Texas license plate LCS 909. The Doughertys were previously seen in a white sedan.

3. They are extremely lucky.




High speed chases with exchanges of gunfire don't always end well.
Particularly when they go for >20 miles.
