Congressman Upset That a Movie Could Help Obama, Demands Probe
IRA terrorist Rep. Pete King already has a lot on his plate, namely the numerous "Muslim radicalization" hearings that he's always convening. Thankfully he's found enough spare time to do the nation's other important work, like harassing the White House about an upcoming Osama bin Laden death movie.

A Kathryn Bigelow-helmed film from Sony Pictures about the mission to kill Osama bin Laden is preliminarily set to hit theaters on October 12, 2012, right before the election. The White House is, you know, "supportive" of this planned release date, since President Obama does not have a whole lot else to campaign on and could use a well-placed, positive reprieve from constantly babbling about how "weird" Mitt Romney is.

So Pete King got word that a movie that makes Obama look good might come out before the election, and he instantly started writing letters to the Defense Department and CIA demanding secret briefings over this modest political advantage for the President. Via Politico:

In a letter to the Defense Department and the CIA, King asked for a probe and classified briefing about any cooperation or consultation between the agencies and the film, set to be directed by Kathryn Bigelow, who made "The Hurt Locker" in 2008 which won six Oscars, including best picture and best director.

"The Administration's first duty in declassifying material is to provide full reporting to Congress and the American people, in an effort to build public trust through transparency of government," King wrote. "In contrast, this alleged collaboration belies a desire of transparency in favor of a cinematographic view of history."

He's just angling for a cameo.

with another documentary from his Citizens United pals.

9. The movie won't matter
The Republican party is hell bent set to not just defeat Obama, but destroy him.
Most of them make no secret of the *defeating* part, but I would bet very few would admit to the destroy part. Because that would expose them to one of the key reasons that they hate him so much. He's *different*. Skin tone, intelligence, heart-wise. Probably in that order, too. They prefer to lie that it is purely political, yet they have moved their needs and wants every single fucking time Obama has agreed or partially agreed to anything. Along with their hatred of this different man, is their fear of him.

Too many dramatic dynamics have blended in his presidency to make anything he does or does not do create a happy nation. From the beginning it was going to be a huge uphill battle even if he had been battle experienced, which he wasn't. How could he be? The hope he promised so elequently was such a soul-saving answer to the ugly hell of the Bush years/lies/treachery/deceipt/destruction. Not even he could grasp the sheer strength of the obstacles he would face. Nor their savagery.

I don't know that there is much of a chance he can totally fight off the overwhelming weapons being used against him, though I still cling to hope. He could do more of course. I can't totally understand why in some instances he hasn't.

He has the potential to tear them down, but due to his nature as a compromiser and thought processor (chess player) he has yet to show them the non-existant *angry black man* stereotype that a lot of these old fart white guys tried to make an issue earlier in his term. They could in a way deal with that. He's calm, cerebral and cool. Perhaps too cool for them to handle. They want the stereotype that has poluted their brains. He has to scare them shitless. But we all know they are still full of shit so that can't be all of it.

I can empathize with *Scared* in a different way. Being scared is not a fun way to go through middle age. Watching dwindling savings, retirement funds and exploding health care costs rise is not conducive to a peaceful existence. I wish Obama would shake off the chess player thoughts and (hard for a pacifist to say but...) pick up a baseball bat and start mentally swinging at these jerks.

A movie about a courageous and very bold action that might just give this man a deserved boost would just be another insult to these scared to death bigotted racist farts. And it might just stop the flow of special interest money from being jammed in their fat ass back pockets when he wins a second term. There are no lowest limits to the foulness of these particular Republicans .
