Poll question: What's your level of political activity?

We're all political junkies here so I'm curious about how active everyone is here, right now. The volunteering can be any level and as long they have a D after their name. I do a combination of 2 and 5 I'm active with my district club and regularly attend their meetings. I also volunteer, but I rarely donate.

3. Precinct Chairperson, caucus chairperson, and delegate to state legislature

conventions. Will probably be a state DNC delegate in 2012. I'm also active in campaign activities through serious precinct walking and door-knocking in my own precinct and districts. See my precinct website at the link in the signature line.

In the past. This time, just a voter. Activist on the outside for positions and causes.

I went to Florida in 2004 for Kerry/Edwards voter protection team and worked on the voter protection efforts in 2008 and 2010

6. I am a precinct committeeman.

I have been county Democratic chairperson and treasurer. I attend the state convention, and many events at the county level in nearby counties. I give money to many of these groups, and to individual candidates.

I am disassociating myself from my county Democratic group. The current leadership is self-serving, and heading for trouble.

In 2012, I will be working for a candidate in a nearby district. This time, I will be getting paid.

In addition to being a DU junkie, I'm politically active through my union, which has an excellent Political Action/Legislation committee through whom I make most cash contributions. I also lobby on behalf of labor issues once or twice a year in Sacramento, again organized by my union, the California Faculty Assn. I've pretty much given up on national politics-- I'll start supporting candidates in national races again when one of the major parties runs someone who represents my LIBERAL interests. There hasn't been anyone meeting that description in over a decade.
