Up north Jim Holperin is up against a total TeaWhacko named Kim Simac. I understand she is an ultra extremist, founder of local TeaWhacko group,
has had legal trouble with bills and taxes (of course, the taxes), and said rashes of crazy shit over the years such as public schools are like nazi camps, firefighters and cops are awful, her own state is no good, etc. Can't take anything for granted though. She has a lot of TeaPuke help, and they are attacking Holperin because he "left his job" last winter to slow debate on the budget bill. Donate, call, help, anything you can do. Thanks.

PS: The other guy, Wirch, seems solid. Pretty assured. And from what I'm hearing Holperin should be ok, but the Pukes are really targeting him so we need one last push to keep him in.

2. Hey, the Democrats have done well so far this year.

I wish Wisconsin Dems lots of luck in the next week.

Even if they lose both seeds they are even Steven with the situation they had before the recalls and they have given Walker and his extremists quite a scare.

The Wisconsin Dems have nothing to lose at this point -- and in the long run everything to gain. And Wisconsin Dems will eventually gain back control of their state government.

People will soon discover that Walker's promises are just hot air.

We had to go through Schwarzenegger before Californians could figure out that "cutting the waste" does not resolve a budget crisis.

We have to have national restraints on imports. That is the only way we can improve our deficit. There isn't much that individual states can do about our economic mess.

Here is an explanation of the connection between our trade deficits and our overall economic problems.
