Remember this, Grover Norquist specifically said letting temporary
tax cuts (like the bush ones) expire is not a tax increase.

You can watch a report over there on The Huffington Post...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/07/21/grover-norquist-bush-tax-cuts-tax-hike_n_905624.html

Anyway, if I was a democrat in that room of 12, I still can't get over how childish this really is, I would veto any tinkering with the expiration of those extended tax cuts.

1. Tell that to the Repubicans
They should have expired already. They held unemployment extensions hostage to extend them (the Bush* tax cuts)
DURING CHRISTMAS WEEK. What scrooges all of them were.

2. At a time like this with the economy struggling, we cannot raise taxes on the job creators
-is what the pukes will say.

They WILL NOT let the bush tax cuts expire now or anytime soon.

Until we stand at their front door and demand either their blood or their taxes, we will get neither.

4. It's not up to them - they automatically expire unless...
...the House, Senate and President act - it's about the only card we're holding at this point.

9. They'll try - but it's up to Dems not to fall for that shit. THE PEOPLE are...
...the best weapon against the hostage-takers.

12. Since the tax cuts automatically expire, all we have to do is NOTHING...
Is that too much for our Dem "leaders?"

13. Yes.
Yes, it is too much. Dems will want to do something about the economy, and Republicans will demand an extension or they'll block it.

Just like the last time they were scheduled to expire.

The middle class and poor will be hurt far more by these drastic budget cuts than by letting the tax cuts expire - not to mention the country as a whole.

16. Quick, someone ask Norquist about expiring PAYROLL TAX breaks--
the 2 percent that President Obama and Democrats in Congress want to keep putting in workers' pockets.

Will Republicans who took Norquist's pledge be FORCED to support President Obama?
