I take it this is a book you wrote? Whats it about? Sorry, but I have no idea and the pictures do not give me any context.

3. I'd say about 400 pages. Okay, sorry -- it's what the title suggests: a history of the peoples of the northeastern USA. It examines the areas of overlap between the archaeological record, as interpreted by scientists, and the oral histories of Traditional People.

4. The top photo is of Onondaga Chief Paul Waterman, his son & nephew; the other is of artifacts.

I didn't realize that you are from the Onondaga tribe. How wonderful! I used to live in New York and I seem to remember that this tribe comes from the Iroquois Nation.

Back when I was studying the origins of our own Democracy, I do believe that your tribe's democratic structure was studied by our founders.

One thing that impresses me greatly and something that I think would GREATLY improve the power structure in our country, is if women were allowed a major role in choosing our own leaders. Onondaga tribe women were the choosers of the men leaders. We should know by now that mothers tend to think long term -- about the futures of their children and grandchildren. I don't think mom's are as easily bought off.

Our country has lost its balance between the feminine and masculine. The feminine is denigrated in our society. I live in the south now and that is more true now than ever before.

Congratulations for having a son who cares about his people's history -- and obviously about you.
