The five most controversial behaviors in restaurants
The five most controversial behaviors in restaurants (seems to be based on responses to writer's blog)

1. breastfeeding
2. cell phone
3. bringing children Even polite, well behaved children seem to annoy some diners, especially in upscale restaurants.

4. public displays of affection (kissing and such)
5. foi gras

1. nope
pulling one's pants down and defecating in the caesar salad is the most controversial by far.

11. That's pretty close to my own idea for 'controversial' restaurant behavior
so there's no need for me to elaborate.

20. You know people who kill people always say they hear voices in their head.
Why doesn't a voice ever say "Hey! Go take a shit on the salad bar at Wendy's!"?

24. Oh, you were there too?
I know, this list is more of a lame list than a "controversial" list.

The stories I could tell...

28. That is ALMOST as bad as smoking in public..
The human being needs three things to maintain life. Food, water, and air. You described fouling a food source but smoking in public fouls our air source with many many more poisons than a little poop contains.

I have it on good authority that that's how Caesar himself preferred to eat it.

4. I like the liver pate'. When our kids were young we took them to the local burger joint....
...and taught them "restaurant manners" before taking them anyplace else. No problemo.

12. No, no -- a real list:
1) saying something negative when the waiter asks 'how was everything?';
2) hobnobbing with the waiter while other diners anxiously await their turns;
3) failing to tip when the service is excellent;
4) ordering Bud Light.

As for breastfeeding, I prefer that everyone get their meal, including the very youngest.
And as to bringing well-behaved children, any diners who complain that they are annoyed by them should be ejected for their own bad behavior.

18. My 5 worst that I have experienced
1. Waiter spread my napkin on my lap after he pulled out my chair.

2. Waiters that want to be my best friend...I had one that I couldn't even enjoy the company that I was with because he wouldn't leave the table.

3. Waitress spilling shit all over me and then not even apologizing.

4. Refilling my drink...with the wrong drink.

5. Crappy food or crappy service.

Most of the time, if I have a bad dining experience, it is generally the fault of the restaurant. not the other patrons.

38. Refilling your drink with the wrong one is bad behavior?
Sounds like a minor mistake that could be easily fixed by saying, "Oh, that's not what I was drinking."

no problems at all

Well, for $23.95 I thought the sole wouldn't be quite so dry, but other than that.....

*Edit to add*

Eating Foie Gras? Seriously?

If people have a problem with that then maybe they should boycott the restaurants that serve it and let the rest of us eat some nice fatty goose liver in peace.

Also, bunnies are delicious if prepared properly (well, the back legs are).
