In these sporadic attacks, people are running for cover. With immediate thoughts of a terrorist attack underway...the meteorologist just broke in and informed us that it is RAIN!

Sorry.:(

We are in East Texas and I know the rains have been in Dallas and eastward--brief but with much cooler temps.

11. That's the truth
We haven't been as bad as others...but this sure felt good.

It was funny though...on my facebook everyone was out taking pictures of the rain.

It's been so long since we have seen any.

Drove to Austin first part of may - rained all the way from Houston to Austin.

I guess what Perry really needs is to have us gay birders do another convention in Texas.

12. I'm in central TX,
and it's currently 93 and rather cloudy. It looks like it could possibly rain. Our first 100 deg. day this year was in April, with around 22 days in June that were 100+, all of July at least 100, and, thus far, all of Aug. has been 100 or higher. We've had several days recorded at 110 or 111. Even if we don't get rain today, it's just so nice to have it cool off earlier in the day. It's been an oppressively hot summer, coupled with a severe drought.

I was riding into work, and I saw a BIG storm north of DFW airport. It blew apart once it hit the DFW area. A little wind, and nary a drop of rain.

23. And with that, after alllll these days of 100+ heat
We don't even get to beat the 1980 record of consecutive days of temps greater than 100 :( We were just two days shy of breaking the record. All because dark, cloudy overcast and a little wind (for most of us, anyway).
And to add insult to injury, the temps are going right back above 100 tomorrow. All. Over. Again. For at least another week.

34. Oh, it certainly is!
It's the major component of acid rain, decreases the stopping ability of all automobiles, and is found in tumors. It also contributes to global warming, and can be fatal if inhaled.

All-time record. Imagine how hot it would be if global warming was real and not just a communist-inspired hoax designed to destroy American capitalism.

It hadn't rained for about 2 months before that, and I'm not even really sure it did then. It's scary hot.

44. Oh, thank goodness we didn't break our '80 record.
We had 40 straight days of 100+ degree temperatures.........Thankfully, we've had at least a small break from the heat. Maybe we'll finally get a tropical storm or two in the next couple of weeks, too. We need the rain. =)
