6. Dunno ...
here is a little about the artist:

Juan Kalvellido is dedicated to graphic humour and is well known to the public through leftist papers such as La República, Diagonal and Mundo Obrero and on the internet through Rebelión and LQSomos.

He has worked as a screenwriter, set designer, painter and cartoonist as well as having published several books, either alone or with others. Kalvellido currently lives in Fuengirola.

Juan Kalvellido

The translators of Tlaxcala have the immense luck of counting among them Juan Kalvellido, a cartoonist born from the working class (he specifies that he sunk in the working class) that has never stopped believing in revolution. This Andalusian born in Cadiz in 1968, during the student revolts, lives in Malaga, where he earns his bread and butter working in the hotel and catering business, an euphemism to say that during eight hours (or even more!) of every day, of everymonth, of every year... he serves giant hamburgers (whoppers, but over there they call them güopers) while imagining thousands of drawings, and then later... when he goes home, dedicates the rest of the day to making us and his family happy.

He has published many fanzines: Por amor al arte (7 issues lasting 5 years, until 1998), (and many more: http://www.tlaxcala-int.org)

7. His "trademark".
Born Juan Calbellido Sampalo

His blog "Kalvellido en la red" (Kalvellido on the net) has his birthplace as "Kádiz" instead of "Cádiz", "nunka" for "nunca", "kuando" for "quando", etc., etc. Must be some kind of "e.e. cummings" sort of trademark.

Read all about it, and lots more artwork at http://www.kalvellido.net/ridikulum-vitae/ (en Español)

8. Yes, that must be -
I only had a couple of semesters in Spanish (which I've mostly forgotten), but I do love his artwork. Thanks!
