Townhall: Kevin Yoder makes a big deal out of a Balanced Budget Amendment without mentionning
the process. Framing his efforts as bipartisan and solution oriented. Yoder discussed his commitment to a BBA, for about 5 out of 40 minutes of discussion, but didn't once mention how he expected it to get 2/3 of both houses & 3/4 of the states. Even if it ever happens, such a process could take 5 or more years, right? Aside from wasting congressional time at a crucial point in our history, how could this be much more than an intentional pacifier for his Tea Party masters.

.....................................

Yoder said he had been surprised by governor Brownback's rejection of a $31.5 million federal grant to implement ACA insurance exchanges, but thought the rejection had something to do with federal regulations and he'd take a look at the situation but we should keep in mind that many of his constituents are against the ACA, so We found it necessary to prompt him with the fact that many of his constituents also support the ACA. There was also push back on what he said about his commitment to jobs and tax increases for the 1%-ers.

He's still talking Tea Partyer where tax increases and budget cuts are concerned, but is more positive toward increases in revenues/closing loopholes, an "tax reform" which he equates with "fair tax". No mention of the BTCs, or defense cuts.
