1.86M Philips lights recalled

Philips Lighting is recalling about 1.86 million Energy Saver and Marathon Classic Compact Fluorescent Dimmable Reflector flood lamps because of a laceration hazard to consumers.

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Philips has received 700 reports of lamps whose glue failed and the glass outer envelope of the light fell, resulting in minor injuries and property damage.

Consumers should contact Philips for a free replacement lamp by calling (866) 622-6372.

The lights were sold from March 2007 to July 2011, for between $11 and $24 at national retail stores.
