Jobs and Equal Opportunity.
Is that too much to ask from our self-proclaimed most bestest, wonderfulest, neatest, the one with the biggest swinging dick on the block country in the world.

It's time to fuck boosterism and bragging and get down to work on the cyclical problems we have ignored for decades.

Jobs without equal opportunity only exacerbate the problems we have.

Gandhi said it best...

Wealth without work
Pleasure without conscience
Science without humanity
Knowledge without character
Politics without principle
Commerce without morality
Worship without sacrifice

Right about now I can look over that list of Gandhi's seven deadly sins and it looks like we are breaking, no shattering all of them...

It's really simple folks, if we want a just society we have to work at it...

Jobs and Equal Opportunity.

2. It was from a Book called the Soul of Politics by Jim Wallis
I read that when I started into politics in the early 90's and discovered that no one I knew was even remotely working toward any of these goals...

worse, when I would bring them up they would all roll their eyes..

So I shut up about that and focused on learning as much as I could from a practical political point of view...

I think you have to have both in order to help implement changes in line with Gandhi's vision.

3. You're a wise man to follow Gandhi...
I don't think the Republicans will want to have anything to do with him, or his precepts.

Recommended.
