Why do I suddenly have to log into DU every time I visit this site?
I used to stay logged in on each of several computers I use. (The box is checked)

One of my machines is a Ubuntu machine. I now have to log in each time on that also.

Why? None of these machines are accessible to any but two other trusted people, and they have their own login's on those machines.

I know this is a minor complaint, but still, minor complaints add up.

6. I have both windows and Linux machines.
Edited on Sat Aug-13-11 08:29 AM by RC
The problem is with both Windows XP and Linux. I did not change any thing, let alone on all the machines.

The DU box is checked.

I have three machines in KCMO, the Linux machine and two windows machines. All started at the same time.

The other three, 10 miles away, started the same thing at the same time.

The only thing common is I use Firefox.
I have deleted cookies. I deleted the Adobe Flash version of cookies, too. No change.

One computer I can understand, but all six at the same time?

Edited to add, I do not use Explorer.

7. I don't have an answer, but have the opposite problem...
I have a Win7 64-bit laptop and an XP Pro desktop. While using the identical version of Opera, DU is the only site I stay logged in between sessions on the laptop.

I thought it was some incompatibility with Opera and 64-bit, but since this happens with Linux systems and other browsers, and other sites, there is an unknown element out there somewhere.

9. Had the same thing happen whle back, you need to delete your DU Cookies
Before you do anything with these cookies, make SURE democraticunderground.com is not opened in any tabs or windows (messed me up at first)

Tools, Options, Remove Individual Cookies. I know Linux Firefox is in a different place but the end results will be the same.

Search democraticunderground.com cookies...I have four on this WinXP system.
