David Gregory says secession=universal healthcare
Chuck Todd: Perry-Obama would be a picture of sharp contrasts.

David Gregory: You know, Perry talked about potentially seceding from the union. You think that's extreme. Well people on the other side think that introducing health care reform for the whole country is akin to European Socialism.

1. Well, if the South did secede... again... we'd have enough votes to pass it.
Too bad Perry's a fucking loon.

4. Good Lawd, David Gregory is dumber then a box of rocks. He proves it over and over again yet they
try to go to him for commentary like he is some wise old soul who has seen it all.

When he comes on TV, you just know you are going to get absolutely nothing of any value from him at all.

6. For real... He is a binary thinker...
Edited on Sun Aug-14-11 11:32 PM by targetpractice
He is an agressive interviewer, but only asks "yes or no" or "this or that" questions... His subjects seem to be often aggravated by his simplistic perspective.

My theory is that David Gregory is following the Matt Lauer school of interviewing... Actually, he should try to watch Charlier Rose and learn how to ask an open ended question once and a while.

9. Gregory is a pathetic interviewer
He comes on the show without doing any homework whatsoever. He recently had Alan Greenspan on his show and allowed him to say, without challenge, that the IMF has issued a report stating that increasing taxes in a time of recession would be worse to the economy than cutting spending. In fact, the IMF report dealt with cutting taxes for the middle class, not the wealthy. In fact, the IMF during the debt ceiling debate issued a statement arguing the very opposite of what Greenspan said: that increasing taxes only on the wealthy would be a good thing. Gregory truly sucks as an interviewer. I don't understand why he gets a prominent Sunday show after consistently displaying such poor knowledge of the facts.
