Huntsman tweet: "I believe in evolution and trust scientists on global warming. Call me crazy."

What is this guy doing in the Republican party?

In any case... he's probably DOA in the GOP race.

1. Aw - that's so cute!
In all seriousness, I hope he represents a trend toward sanity in the GOP.

But probably not.

2. He's the only one
of the GOP candidates that doesn't make me want to :puke: and that pretty much means he has no chance. He's gotten very little attention though and doubt he has the charisma to be much more than a second tier candidate.

3. Huntsman also said “the EPA's regulatory reign of terror” must be brought to an end.
He spewed this crap twice in the last GOP debate: http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=huntsman+epa&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8

He's playing off Perry's gaffe in NH a couple of days ago, when he turned off a GOP activist with his denial of climate change science. NH is full of non-evangelical science-based Republicans, as his campaign manager, who was former McCain's campaign manager, well knows. He's channeling McCain to beat Romney, who is the prohibitive favorite. Trying to stay alive...

Good luck, dude!

9. One thing we won't be calling him is the GOP candidate for President.
Good news for us, too. He's like Romney without the so-called "baggage" of RomneyCare. Huntsman would pull way too many independents.

12. He also supports civil unions and would end the wars quicker than Obama.
He would be a dangerous gop nominee. I don't think he can get, at least I don't think he can now, but I really hope he is not the nominee.

13. Evolution isn't a belief.
I hate it when people say "I believe in evolution." It's a scientific theory based on tangible evidence. Beliefs are not based on evidence.

There probably is a signficant sliver of a submarket among Republicans who believe in facts. They don't matter.

No matter, because he has no chance of winning the GOP nomination. The social conservatives will never rally behind him, especially now that Governor Goodhair has entered the race.

Edited for grammar.
