Simply expressed, America is making itself look inept, uncaring,
and often just plain silly. And please don't tell me how bad it is in other countries. From what I have read and my occasional contacts with Americans in Europe, I don't think I could handle more than a week in the States. The mere fact, an uneducated fellow like Rick Perry is even being considered as a presidential candidate says a lot. Look into the media of other countries and I'm sure you will be shocked just how low America has gone down on the world scale.

1. We don't just look that way, we really are that way.
Decades of hate radio and the megachurches have corrupted too many minds.

2. Appearances are not deceiving...
So what do you think of Silvio Berlusconi, Umberto Bossi, Jean-Marie Le Pen, Pia Kjaersgaard, Jörg Haider, and Frank Vanhecke. That is only a few right wing national figures in Europe.

4. For once, we agree on something.
It's stupid to think that it's just the US that has conservatism, and everywhere else in the civilized world is magically free of anyone who disagrees with us.

6. It is good to agree with you on something.
Conservatives are everywhere. Ours have a disproportionate effect on the world because we are currently the leading power. But they exist in all societies. From research I've seen, there is a lot of evidence that the brains of Conservatives are different from liberals, so it may be something to do with being human.

5. Oh, it's not so much making itself look inept and uncaring ...
as it is becoming more inept and uncaring.
